THE OPTIMIST CREED
The Tucson HEAT Optimist Club is a member of the Raytheon-Tucson Employees Association Membership (R-TEAM). HEAT Optimists are busy in our community all year long.
We want to make our community better,
not just for today or tomorrow, but for the future!
The HEAT Optimist Club meets regularly.
We meet in person at Denny’s on Old Vail Road in Tucson. We offer a hybrid model, allowing anyone to attend via Zoom as well. Contact heatoptimistclub@gmail.com for more information
Club Meeting schedule:
1st Thursday – Board Meeting (All members are welcome)
3rd Thursday – General Club Meeting
Meetings open at 6:00 PM for networking.
Meetings begin at 6:15 PM.
*Note, the club will be on summer break during July 2023.

The HEAT Optimist Club works to help children and our community. You can help too by purchasing these delicious nuts, snacks, and chocolates. Every purchase allows us to continue with our many projects including our Christmas Shopping Spree, recognizing educators and first responders, and many others. Please help us with a purchase today!
Who We Are
Purpose: To develop optimism as a philosophy of life utilizing the tenets of the Optimist Creed; to promote an active interest in good government and civic affairs; to inspire respect for the law; to promote patriotism and work for international accord and friendship among all people; to aid and encourage the development of youth, in the belief that the giving of one’s self in service to others will advance the well-being of humankind, community life and the world.

What We Do
The HEAT Optimist club is active all year along. We encourage youth public speaking, provide scholarships, bring the community together for holidays and celebrations. We help families provide clothing for their growing children and we encourage well-being in our community. Learn more about our activities here.

The annual Kohl’s shopping spree for kids in need included a visit from Santa!
